Hello all,
I am new to the this forum and I am hoping for some guidance. I occasionally buy collections at estate sales and the photographed 1913 Wheat was included in one of the collections. Has anyone seen this type of error or manipulation? I really appreciate any feedback that you may have.
Thanks!!

Note the reverse? Note the coin was altered. It is not longer round. It was pressed with a different die on that area. I feel this is not a mint error. It was added post strike. Just a damaged Wheat cent now.

Probably a soft die was used. The areas on the obverse are flattened where the incuse design was not there.

Not an error but still a keeper for its uniqueness.
Someone must have spent a fair amount of time creating that.

Welcome to CCF. Maybe it was going through a coin elongation machine and then got reversed out? Unfortunately just damage. Keep searching and you will find something.

It looks like there was an attempt to make this coin into a piece of jewelry.

It is the first simulation mint error I see in this way. I have the idea of the process, it is something to deep on.

I will like know from where come on. this must be a goldsmith work.
