Does not look to be PMD as all features are still there?
Seems like a big chip was on the blank when it was pressed?
Unique looking coin anyway.

with both JimmyD and gxseries so I guess I'll have to call it a ' Struck Through Grease' error!

I had always only pictured grease as being soft until I came upon this. http://goccf.com/t/372300

Yes, it's hard to tell from looking at photos but when viewed from this angle I have my doubts.

I never said it was Struck Through Grease, I said it was struck through something.
It would have to have been something with a straight edge like a piece of foil.

Looks like a strike-through - what does it weigh?

Yes JimmyD I realise that ... what I was inferring was that I agree with you that it 'may have been struck through something' and also with gxseries in being a 'die grease error' and just combined the two to describe my opinion i.e. a struck through grease error. Hope that makes sense?

Hm, should be 15.55g so it's probably not underweight.
