Went through a shoe box with coins no older than 1981. Always go through things closely and found 3 of these 1979 end of the die life 1 cents. The one 9 is almost fully worn around the whole number with ragged edges. Also note the maple leaf is worn.If you look close the 9 and leaf are almost touching. This is one of the finest die wear strikes that I have seed in Canadian coinage. Enjoy the picture and feel free to comment.
That's cool! On other dies, the deterioration doubling can be seen on the 1 of the date.
