The coin appears to have nice original luster, but it may also have multiple wear points. The images provided don't allow me to confidently assess the coin's surface quality. Would larger and clearer images be possible?
What is the driver behind considering grading/encapsulating?
- Are you thinking of selling the coin?
- Are you concerned about its authenticity?
- Are you looking to help protect it long term?
- Are you hoping "the experts" determine it is even a higher grade than you think?
If it truly is a high AU / low MS coin, it could justify grading it and make sense from a long-term protection standpoint if you are planning to keep it.
I look forward to hearing more of your thoughts.

Handle that coin properly and please don't clean or dip it in any way. Looks great but I agree we need sharper and larger images. First instinct is yes, it would be a grading candidate.

I bought it with the intent to put it in my type set album (intercept shield) Though I definitely one day would like to put together a set of commemorative halves, I thought it would be a "cool twist" instead of putting a plain Statehood Quarter or 1976 bicentennial. After receiving it, it was in much better shape than I thought.. so I would be getting it encapsulated for long term protection because as of right know it is just sitting with the rest of my collection in a flip. Though I am definitely curious as to what the grade it would receive. I dont have the best lighting but I will try and get a few more photos up.

Commems summarizes it well. Could be a nicely toned MS specimen with soft luster of 63 or even better. Can you enlarge these pics so we can see the surface details more clearly?

Beautiful piece. Looks like a candidate for TPG.

Appears to me to be an authentic example - it could be high AU or mid MS but the photos provided do not show the detail needed. I ask the OP to consider the following, then get back to us with their views with the coin in hand: The high points of the design, and thus the very first to note wear/rub are the central jewel in Isabella crown (obverse) and the point where the tread of cloth crosses the spinners knee (reverse). Any break in luster at these locations means AU58 or so - but we need the OP to tell us as the coin in hand is really the only way to know. Lovely example either way - I enjoy the deep natural toned surfaces.

Looks unworn with unbroken luster. 63 or 64 would be my guess. Nice coin.

I'd say it's MS63 easy. Maybe MS64 I made your images larger. I see no wear on the rope on reverse. It is just toned if you ask me. Very nice! Looks like it was stored obverse up, maybe a hint of cabinet wear on reverse.

The strike looks good at this angle, I do see a small nick on the reverse above my lady shoulder, but would definitely help with sharper larger images. It will pass AU 58 in my book for the time.
