There is obvious wear to that side burn and hair and moderate overall contact wear to all the high points of this coin and slightly flattened spots of wear. There is also some foreign matter between the lettering, like some kind of soil or grime that most likely came from some handling. Report this Post to the Staff

snowman Pillar of the Community United States 1840 Posts	Posted 01/25/2009 8:09 pm I'd call it XF and drop it a grade to VF due to the cleaning. Krause says $7.50 in VF and $15.00 in XF. This seems reasonable considering nearly 23 million were made. Report this Post to the Staff
