There seems to be some hair missing under the R. What do you see?

Just the usual over polishing that reduced the devices. These are die events. The rest of the life of this die struck as many of these until it was retired. If these happened on one die, then chances they could happen on other dies as well. Chase, do you have an images of the eye area? There maybe an issue with Feeder Finger Damage and that area near of the bridge of the nose, may have been affected?

But they are 40% silver coins. So there is melt value for them.

CoopHome: What is Feeder Finger Damage. How can I spot it on coins? Any premium for this? (No)

When I was taking these pics I did notice the over polishing in front of the Eye area.
Will be back with the pics.

Ok,Here it is, I see die scratches and a tiny left over of the die clash on the bridge of the Nose.

Thanks for adding this to the thread. I was able to find examples on many different years on PCGS. They are common to find. So I prepare them for the selection on this thread.
