I'd be able to nail down the date for this minor tapered planchet if only that pre Cud were listed.

Nice find. I love the 2 fer one errors. I recently found a Lam / tapered (2.7 g) wheat.

Nice one, probably 1936 right? CU-1c-1936-05 looks close and there are 11 listed Cuds for that year.

I guess that really doesn't nail it down though.

I wonder if the small die crack coming from the middle of the right wheat steak to the rim might be useful in figuring out which one you've got. Also, what is that little spike coming off the tip of the left wheat stalk? Scratch or die crack or something else?

This one maybe listed as a rim to rim die crack/retained Cud? That might help with the date?

Thanks for the great comments! And yes, when I noted that I could figure out the date if the pre Cud were listed I did check first. It'll go in my files as a pre Cud, and maybe I organize all those up every year or so and will check again to see if anyone found one and listed it.
