I was there just for the one day, looking mainly for Indian Head cents for my set. While I saw three that came close, other than the one I purchased, the others fell short for one small reason or another. The one coin I did buy at the show is an 1873 Closed 3 IHC graded MS65 +RB with a CAC. The PCGS Pop for those graded MS65RB and MS65 +RB is 60, but out of the 60, only three got a " +". Only 5 finer in RB. The coin in hand looks more than 95% red to my non-expert eye. For me, it was a great day! I got a coin I liked, I established a couple of new relationships, and solidified other existing relationships!

Gorgeous! While myself I have several, none in red-brown, that's a set I'm looking to begin sometime this year. In red and red brown.

Thank you Coinfrog, nfine, thecoinguy1964, and Ballyhoo for your kind words!
@Ballyhoo, it's a matter of ones budget. I'm very fortunate that I'm in a position to hunt for the coins I do. As you know, coins graded RB can have as little as only 5% red, and as much as 95% red to get that RB designation. My strong suggestion for your Red and RedBrown set is to make sure each RB coin has AT LEAST 50% red in it, preferably no less than 65% red. Be patient, and DON'T settle just to fill holes!

An excellent acquisition, Steve, congrats on the purchase. Strengthening and adding relationships is a great part of the in-person shows - I always enjoyed that part even if I left a show empty handed...
One of these years I'm going to have to get to the FUN show - I usually participate in the online Heritage auctions for the show, but that's been the extent of it so far.

what a really great looking coin, congrats it's a 5 out of 5 drooler something about that lustrous reddish cartwheel. Thanks. And as noted, believe it or not, it's graded RB. Steve
