1941 S Penny Error Or Damage? - Coin Community Forum

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 01/14/2022 10:36 am During that time period they added "Channeling" around the outline of the bust of the master hub to strengthen the bust design: That might be what you are seeing? Or a polishing issue around the nose area? Either way it is not a doubled die. It doesn't enlarge the device or copy the design of the hub. Just a mystery?
