Hello everyone,
I'm new at this and was going through my father's old coin collection. I found one coin that I am unable to find anything online about it.

The coin in question has no apparent monetary denomination on it. It's the same size as a Canadian nickel.
Both sides have the image of georgiv but with different markings.
Anyone know if it's real or a fake?

Check closely for two different things.
1. Look at the side and see if you can locate a seam running around the middle where two nickels were altered (sanded down) and stuck together to make a two headed nickel.

2. If no seam, then check carefully close to the rim to see if you can find a seam running around the top edge of one coin. Magician's trick coins are sometimes made by hollowing out the inside of one coin (using a lathe), working down the diameter and thickness of another coin, and then inserting the second into the hollow of the first.

The one side is missing Et Ind IMP which is a reference to when India was ruled by the Crown, making that side a nickel from before 1948. The other said having that part of the inscription is from a nickel dating 1948 or later.

Since these nickels are from two different eras, this item is a post mint creation.

Magicians coin, the only possible explanation.
It didn't leave the mint like that so it is PMD.

That could be a "fused" nickel to make it look like a double head error
