Needing help in identifying a 1999 Penny I had received back through a self checkout at a store. There's an M or 3 that is on the reverse behind where the A in AMERICA is missing an what looks like a C on the obverse on Lincolns bust. Any ideas what coin it could be?

Very badly damaged, yes. Perhaps spent some time in a parking lot. Zinc rot too. Pareidolia may be in-play here.

No one here is an idiot for telling you the truth.
It seems that you won't accept the fact your coin is just damage.
If you knew the minting process, then you would realize that what
you say is impossible to happen when the coin was struck.

Count me in with the "idiots" then, as I too say this is post mint damage.

I suggest you watch a video or two on the mint process so you can ascertain errors/varieties from damage.

Take a hammer and bring any coins you want to create a instant error by laying down on the side walk and start hitting it.

I do not see the expression IDIOTS, maybe I miss 'it. For such words this OP must be expel. Maybe I am an IDIOT front of him, could be possible, nothing impossible on this earth. If we are all idiots, maybe because we love and like this hobby who do not make millionaires.

If him show me his IQ more then 126 . Einstein was 140, and by my own opinion many here pass the 110 the maximum.

Or maybe we need to confirm another scrap for big money to buy some dope.

A change in policy is need.

No extra letters or numbers, just damage and corrosion. I guess even an idiot can tell it is not an error!

@itchy is taking some well-deserved time off from CCF. In the meantime, this is a reminder to please avoid feeding the trolls. Thx.
