I think people get lured in by the AU and think it's a bargain. It's got some decent detail on it, but I don't think it is an attractive coin either. This coin looks beat up and scrubbed. Better to spend $30-35 on a really nice XF or AU then to save a few bucks - my opinion at least. I bought a couple of ok items from this seller way back when their feedback was around the 10K range (it's over 100K now) and they always would note if a coin was cleaned/rubbed/etc. I've stayed away more recently because they seem to have a large following that drives up the prices. Jaobler Pillar of the Community United States 6381 Posts	Posted 01/27/2009 11:29 am I often see this seller's auctions while browsing ebay and it seems the majority of his coins are slightly to seriously damaged. Many are cleaned. This one does look cleaned, with quite a few significant dings and scratches, plus I don't think it makes AU in terms of wear. I would grade it "EF details, cleaned and damaged" and value it maybe at the level of an original F-15 coin. This would be a great "found in rolls" coin but I wouldn't buy it except at a rock-bottom price. Report this Post to the Staff
