Hey all:

I think the coin I listed here was reverse Struck Through Grease and the mint mark doubled on the obverse.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Not sure that is a Greaser on the reverse. I have seen many Lincoln Cent reverses with a weak strike in this same area. I believe it is due to the amount of material that is needed to form the lower portion of the bust on the obverse.
just like this one:

or this one:

I'll see if I can find a few more examples

It happens on wheat back cents as well:

Yes, yes. The reverse of Lincoln cents (mostly 1970s-early '80s) can show strike weakness in the 'STATES of' and 'E PL...' area. It's a matter of insufficient metal to completely fill the design--obverse (Abe's bust) gets filled; reverse, not so much. The bust is immediately opposite the reverse 'STATES of' and 'E. PL...'

As Dearborn and ijn said, not a Greaser. Just a common area of strike weakness due to the design.

Same Events happen on the Wheat cents. The most of the metal is going on the obverse. Any shortage will show up on the reverse as weakness. Also the weakness can be affected by the Struck Through Grease issue. Neither are a premium in either case. Just note the differences between the two and you will understand the striking process better.
