(Updated pictures to eliminate glare) I think this is a 1887 VAM 3A. Is there any extra value to the coin? With the pictures, what grade would you give this coin? (The pictures do not capture the luster)
VAM 3 refers to doubling of the 1 and 7 in the date. 3A adds a die clash on the reverse. Sorry, I don't see it. Not an expert though, maybe someone would offer another opinion.
Kind of hard to tell from these pics but I see similarities to 13A. Possibly a later die stage, with some of the clashing polished away and stronger die cracks. Look at the attributes of 13 and 13A and see if you can match them up.
Thanks everyone for your comments. I have looked at the pictures that were included in the comment links. There doesn't seemed to be any pictures that exactly match my coin.
