Welcome!! This is a dateless Buffalo nickel. I can tell you a few things about it, but not the date.

The dates were not in a good spot on this design and wore off before lots of the other detail did. Your coin was made in Philadelphia, and is not the 1913 type 1 design.

Unfortunately, this coin is worth just a few cents.

Hey, we you and you have come to the right place to learn!

The date wore off due to circulation . There are a couple of cool threads on this site that can chemically restore a dateless coin. That would simply be if I remember right a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and hydrogen peroxide.
Based on my experience, this is most likely a teens to early 20's dated, minted in Philadelphia.
Rest in Peace

To CCF . In this condition it does not have any numismatic value . You can try to bring up a date by the acid treatment but that won't give you much considering it's not a mint marked Buffalo nickel .

to the Community!

Wholesale value of dateless Buffalo nickels that have not been acid treated is currently 12 cents each. Not a fortune, but definitely worth more than face value.
