1956 Wheat Penny Die Crack? - Coin Community Forum

Snh94 New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 02/11/2022 10:43 am I'm semi new to this, but I have this 1956 Wheat penny with what looks to be a die crack. It's kind of hard to see so I tried to take a picture from the side. I was just wondering what everyone else thought. Report this Post to the Staff

In a sense your coin has the crack and was struck by a an uncracked die rather than being a perfect planchet struck with a cracked die. You could save this in a 2x2 if you wanted—the cost of ownership is low.
