Paid way more than greysheet for this coin, if only because it's really pretty hard to find one in any condition. It has issues obviously, but it is still easy to look at, I think. How would you grade it?

I'll say VG details (cleaned).

F-12 details cleaned. It would not surprise me if PCGS net graded it at VG8 or VG10.

I'm thinking Fine Details due to cleaning.

THAT is one tough coin no matter how it graded!

Congrats! Pure jelly!

Hint: it doesn't grade straight. The detailing is different that you might expect ...
Rest in Peace

Yeah, still a respectable example of a very tough date no matter what the label says...

I assume they called the white strip running diagonally between the 1st and 2nd star environmental damage(?). Good Lord!

I'm guessing the graders graded it first thing on a Monday morning after a tough alcohol infused weekend!

It would make "fine" all day long on my radar screen.

I think I see a green hue with the new pic. Possible PVC on the coin?

It's there on the first pic too, which is just a crop of the second, but something about the pixelation makes it more difficult to see.

I'm guessing it comes down to both cleaning and improper storage -- maybe taped into album at some point.

i had her at VG details. that lighter stripe on the obverse had me thinking tape was removed at some point. when you see the blowup it looks like PVC also so improperly stored. those two things together I guess they call it ED
