Hello. Many years ago when I first started becoming interested in ancient coins I bought some Roman coins off ebay. I know, not the smartest thing to do. I'm not an expert by any means when it comes to seeing if an ancient coin is authentic. I have about 8 Romans I need some help with. None of them look blatantly fake to me, although I do question a few. Thank you for any help in advance.

Authentic coins - these examples are unlikely to be counterfeited.

Thanks for the insight iulius. I was hoping they were not fake considering most of them I got for $3-$5. Once again, thank you.

Although well worn, #6 looks to be a Diva Faustina silver denarius dating to the middle of the second century AD.

Thanks for all the replies. I have many nicer denarii in my collection, but I like the Crispina one because the worn nature of it gives it a kind of character. It being confirmed genuine just makes it even better.

We have a thread devoted to the coins of Crispina. You could post closeup photos of your denarius there.
