Just opened one of my 2007 p Jefferson BU rolls Soooo bad. No wonder there are less then 100 graded MS66 by PCGS. Full of stains, die issues, grease filled fields. Sooo bad! Most of the roll had some variation of these Cuds on the nose and chin. It's not even cool looking. Just looks like damage. I can't even find one decent coin for my Business strike binder. I guess I can buy an ms66 for $700!!!

@cap, well all rolls can't be filled with spectacular coins--otherwise there wouldn't be a thrill to the hunt. Also, just to gently correct your terminology here--remember that Cuds by definition involve the rim. What you are seeing seem to be die chips.

I agree with Spence. 'Fresh' modern nickels are notorious for dings/stains/nicks.
