Hello all,

as you can see in the photo, this Lincoln 1989 one-cent coin has an error on the word AMERICA. So maybe someone could help me identify what kind of an error it is? if it's an error. Will be glad to hear your opinions, thank you :)

It looks like VLDS and zinc rot.

Not an error, just common Die Deterioration.

If there is a lot of gray showing near the rim on America, that may have experienced some zinc rot from split plating, thus making the tops of the devices looking distorted? The obverse lower edges of the motto looked different also. But no listing for a DDO like that. I'd keep this coin safe for now.
