1968 D LMC DDO? Die Dent?

hello all,

i have seen this on another coin and cant remember if I discarded it or put it in the figure out later pile.

top left of N in IN. that cut rim was also on the other coin too.

DDO? or Die Dent? thoughts anyone/

Here are a couple of die dents I found a few years ago. I know mine are in a slightly different location and shape but were from a 68P and 68D. Maybe a problem they had that year. Maybe a mint worker had the dropsies.

What causes a die dent? It happens with one die is dropped on another die. The outside edges of the die dented with an incuse mark. The incuse mark on the die, shows up as a raised area on the coins.

Here is an image of one that I feel was dropped on the floor, flattening one edge of the die, making it look like it was a Cud, but doesn't make the rim higher like a Cud:
