@aast, first welcome to CCF. Second, since coins with a missing clad layer are drastically underweight, you could confirm that this is just surface staining by checking the weight.

Missing clad is not like this, and two sides in same time extremes rare. This it is environment action, also the color and the diffusion show this.

Funny, this is the fourth post I have seen just this month with quarters all having similar if not identical characteristics. Then just yesterday in some pocket change I received one (2019 P Idaho). I agree with PMD but I have to wonder if somebody is attempting to copper plate these and returning them back to circulation. The reeded edge is completely copper just like the one posted here but I can see some flaking which is evidence of plating.

Could be Mister T, I never had one in my hand to analyze. The most danger for counterfeiters is the numismatic communities.

I just weighed it and it comes in at 5.55g idk if that means anything all the other quarters I have are 5.67g

The corrosion always take away materials, except if it is not local oxidation.
