Re: Prices Realised for Downies auctions
The Downies website currently has Prices Realised available from Auction 317 and for a few select auctions prior (Auctions 290, 297, 299B).
Most of the links I could find for sales outside this coverage are no longer functional.
Does anyone know of an alternative online resource where Prices Realised are available for this auction house?
Thanks

I would contact them directly. Don't know if things have changed, but I've done this in the past regarding past sales etc and they have been helpful.

Quote: Don't know if things have changed, I've dealt with them since the 1960's and I think Phil would be turning over in his grave with the direction they have taken, model cars?..seriously... for one of the best regarded Numismatic business's in Oz. But good advice to contact them.

They updated their website recently - I struggled to find the old stuff.

Appreciate the welcome and advice.
I contacted Downies directly via email, as suggested, and was able to obtain the prices realised file I was chasing. A favourable outcome!

Quote: They updated their website recently - I struggled to find the old stuff. In case anyone else is having trouble finding older material, I am aware of the following: Catalogues for Auctions 304 (2010) to 338 (2020) can be viewed on issuu and most, but not all, can be downloaded. Older versions of the Downies website can be accessed through Trove or the Wayback Machine. Coverage starts with Auction 285 (2004), but a bit hit or miss. Often links to lot photos or prices realised weren't archived. And if you have a library nearby, you might have some luck accessing a physical catalogue (either directly or through interlibrary loan). The National Library of Australia looks to have holdings of Downies' catalogues going back to Auction 132 (1980). A few other libraries seem to have holdings, as well.
