coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 02/18/2022 7:46 pm DDD does happen to the nickels till about 1999. As mentioned extreme die wear and Machine Doubling. On the doubled dies, they tend to be horizontal, rather then vertical. Machine Doubling is more vertical. Hope this helps. Report this Post to the Staff
