Thank you to everyone for helping me develop an eye. I know I'm a long way away from both completing my Washington collection and getting comfortable with the higher grades and costs as I move forward.

Here is the next level up for me. Pushing for higher grades (hopefully).

Based on first set of pics, I'll say MS-63, possibly 64.

Thank you for the feedback. I'm posting a couple more pictures. Most of the feedback I have been getting is that I'm a grade high when picking my Washingtons. I am hoping that in some part that is due to my photography. I really try and show all the surface details with low light but when I use natural light I seem to get higher grade feedback. I am just trying to figure this all out before that one grade difference starts to cost me hundreds as I move forward.

the newer photos look a bit better, but the images are also blocky, like those produced by phone cameras, and so I usually subtract a point on the guess that blockiness is hding some smaller dings

grading from even the best photos will never be as accurate as possible from having the coin in hand

You are right! Cell phone photos. Figured that might be the case. Nevertheless, I have learned a ton and will keep posting and making the adjustments you all are telling me, 'deduct a grade from my eye.' I hope this will save me from costly mistakes going forward. Also hope I'll get a better photo set up soon.

It is shocking what I am seeing in slabs tho. Bought two of these by mistake, same grade, and the other is much worse then this one and is going back. Goes to the point, buy the coin, not the holder!'

When I compare most NGC slabs like this one to PCGS there are definitely less contact marks on PCGS coins. I guess there is a reason for the 20% price premiums on PCGS coins. I am finding that going off price guides and trying to get a good deal is not as simple as one would think. Quality is quality! As I get further into the higher priced Washingtons there can be significant price jumps even within two identically graded ms-66 PCGS coins.
