@weedy, first welcome to CCF. Second, we are going to need pics of your coins to help you with a grade. Here is a link to the tutorial on uploading pics. Best practice is to start a new thread for each new coin. I look forward to seeing what you have.
I occasionally find older coins in change that have seen minimal circulation. I always assume someone spent some older coins with minimal or no value over face from a collection they bought or inherited, or maybe the coins had simply been out of circulation for decades, tucked away in a change jar or drawer. You never know!
