Probably was attached to a belt at one point. Now just a melt value item for the silver. (now a cull coin)

Yep not a morgan, but a Peace dollar as stated above. The reverse was sanded down then soldered to a backing for some other purpose.

Damage for the coin. The piece of the silver you has now, because in not any more a coin, it is at half of the normal coin silver has due to the molding present. Sorry for this, hope you do not pay much for.
