Hello I found this 1980 quarter in my change, the weight is off, its lighter, feels different around the edges and the sandwiching is not right like something went wrong. I am wondering what kind of error this would be/could be? And also does it hold any extra value to it? I've never seen anything like this before...

Knew what it was before I even looked.

This coin was in something acidic. Can even happen from being in the cupholder in your car if you drink soda.

The copper gets eaten away before the cladding.
