Hello Everyone!
I've attached pictures of a penny that I believe has a strike through error. On the coins I've found with PMD like this you can generally see the damage pushing through/warping the reverse. Since this coin has no damage or inconsistencies on the reverse I think it might be a candidate for a strike through error. That said, I've been wrong before :-)

Thoughts?

Either a strike thru or a lamination peel, nice one at that...

Nice Struck through error on a LWC I'd say.

I'm think a lamination on this one. It doesn't appear to wrap over the rim/edge area. The metal cold rolled was uneven, thus the varying thickness of the peel areas. The weight should be slightly under weight?

Because of the unevenness of the incuse area, I will say a delamination as well.
Still a nice find.

Thank you so much for the replies! The penny weighs 3.03g. Now I know to keep an eye on the rim when figuring out if an error is a delamination vs. a strike through. I learn something new every time I come to this forum.

I have a LMC with almost identical impression across face and nose.
Thought it was strike through. It has a chip inside.
