I found this 1997 -D penny. I'm wondering if this is a Blowhole error? I just read about this sort of error. And is it worth anything?

A cull coin (basically an alter coin, post strike) is never worth more than face value. It is not a mint error. Basically disaster for the coin. It was a coin, now it is a damaged coin.

Interesting find--the shattered look vs typical blunt force mashing of metal. Are those loose fragments part of the coin, or cookie crumbs? Drop it into a 2x2 as a fun curiosity.
