1995 Lincoln Memorial Cent Doubled Die - DDO-001, FS-101

This isn't a top example of this die, but it is a solid example of a stage B coin so I picked it up. I have no idea which coin variety has been slabbed the most often, but my guess would be this one as there are thousands of these in each of the major TPG populations. Also likely the most affordable major doubled die out there.

Well according to grade numbers as the dies age, it looks like this:
1995-Lincoln-Memorial-Cent-Doubled-Die---DDO-001,-FS-101
The higher the number, the more of that grade can be found. 54% are VLDS. So that is not the best or the worst example. The die flow lines on the rim area helps to tell the die wear.

Keep in mind also that each die polishing will show less flow lines, but the devices will be smaller in size after each polishing.

A very nice coin! Despite being so common it is nice for even the average collector to be able to get their hands on a fairly cheap and dramatic doubled die. I still love seeing these in high grade.
