The slabbed coin would grade higher,that's all I can say,as you know I am not good at grading.

Thank you John! I think I have been so focused on clean, mark free coins that I have put that before strike quality. When I look at graded coins I see more forgiveness on marks if the strike is exceptional.

That may be the case with this comparison. Hope others can also provide insights as I keep trying to educate myself on this challenging grading stuff.

i think your coin is quite nice. out of holder photos would be better as there are some marks etc that could be on that and not the coin. I think its at least MS66FT/FB maybe a +

Almost impossible to compare these coins given the different lighting angles and degrees of sharpness.
