Pics are really not the best. Can't see obverse field detail clearly.

Looks like there's enough red to carry RD. Reverse has a nice strike...obverse is a little weak (lds)?
I think he crossed 64RD

Let's see if I understand.
It was in an ANACS holder at MS-64 RD.
You cracked it out and sent it to another TPG (PCGS?).
It came back at a lower grade and/or color.
Now you're unhappy.

Is this correct?
Rest in Peace

No ! ,with that entire Lincoln's bust it would be lucky if it received an MS-63RB .

Yes I cracked it out of a ANACS holder that had the coin at MS-64 red. I want all PCGS holders. The consensus on the forum in the past was that you had better luck if you cracked and resubmitted raw to get an upgrade ( I have read this in past threads on different forums whether that's true or not. I have read several times that PCGS rarely upgrades what they consider a lower tier grading companys' coin. They will cross at same grade or lower more often than not if they even cross at all. I don't know if that's true or not. The coin looked better than a 64 in the holder.. Once cracked , I realized that I may have made a mistake. Something I will do many more times in the future.. My best learning tools are my mistakes and don't repeat them. I will reveal the results later tonight. On 10 crack outs I had one third tier company that will surprise you. One company was dead on with PCGS. I did not crack and coins from NGC.

Hey TBop, just like PCGS you hit some perfect and miss some, The reason I am always glad you are there trying to help me
and what I am impressed about . is that you are always in there swinging. Whether I want to hear it or not. Much respect for that and much appreciated. At this point I am doing the best I can with photos. I need to get better before someone reaches through the screen and strangles me.

When I submitted the coin it looked pretty good and was hoping for an upgrade and that's the second one to upgrade in red. Still more to come good and bad

Well I've been saying it since I first joined CCF .
I always call it as I see it ; Good or bad I don't sugar coat any coin unless it deserves it no matter who posts it for Grades and comments . Yes for sure I hit some as well as miss some ; This is why grading is subjective . We all give our most educated guess for a grade or attribution .
