We didn't say that. To me they just show aging. A discoloration of color. Brown color on these coins are a sign of being found as by a metal detector that has turned brown in color because of being homeless for a time:

EMLCoinCollector,
WADR;all of your coins shown are environmental damaged like from being buried in the ground at one time.None are missing a clad layer,IMHO.

Something's just not adding up. Going to focus on non color based errors that are more obvious since my camera just can't capture the colors right.

When taking images, use a darker background. To much white removes colors. Darker absorb the white bleaching of images. That always works better for me. Especially when scanning coins. The darker background will be better for these images.

I read that a 14% gray scale background is recommended. EMLCoinCollector is talking about the color of the coin, not the background.

But too light of a color background can alter the image of the color. A darker color, removes reflection back into the image. Thus I take of my images with a darker background. It absorbs the the excess light.

Eml - it would be wise to try and learn from the experts here. Posting what is found on ebay and making comparisons to what random people say is missing clad layers or annealing issues will not justify what you actually have. Many are misinformed on ebay or taking advantage of the misinformed. The people here are trying to help you. They know!

Everybody explain you very well. You put the point of annealing. WELL, for your knowledge and others also: In 1999 the subcontractants for the mint start the test of cut the planchet with plasma and not the conventional ways, so the annealing process is not anymore need. From 2000 they use this process and from 2019 the laser cut (could be find on annual Mint Director reports). So those theorem of annealing is away from the mint production. The annealing problem was more in the 1958 till 1965.

Not everything on e-Bay is true. 80% of the announcement are just "Blowing in the wind"

with the last 2 posts. There are a lot of ebay sellers that have absolutely no idea what they are selling or talking about. They just list it and if they get someone to bite, it's money in their pocket.

I agree. I just am afraid something gets overlooked since I can't get the right lighting, etc. Also compounded with the fact of how much time/effort it takes to find something makes it even more frustrating when it ends up being nothing. This hobby is very taxing on the eyes!
