2018 Penny Reverse Lines On Letter Fading

There are 2 areas on the penny I was wondering about. The reverse at the top has lines where the letters fade and there is a crack from the rim towards the bottom of the shield.

The area to the north on the reverse is usually due to the bust on the obverse, which makes this area strike light on the reverse, you can see this on memorial and wheat cents too, as the die gets tired. The crack is a weak spot in the shield design and you will see cracks here often.

Interesting! I found the northern reverse area so intriguing because of the fading letters in addition to the lines. Is this a coin worth holding onto?

Because of the light strike, no but you may want to get levelsofmadnes a clear closeup of the date, may be a DDO.

It may have been the lighting on the full coin shot but I don't see a DDO. I will let levelsofmadnes give thoughts on this though.

With the Grease Fill on those devices, it prevents the rolling lines to be removed during the strike. On an off center coin you can see how strong the rolling lines were and how they still show after the strike:
