2018 Penny Reverse Lines On Letter Fading

Broken2savage Valued Member United States 54 Posts	Posted 03/13/2022 8:16 pm There are 2 areas on the penny I was wondering about. The reverse at the top has lines where the letters fade and there is a crack from the rim towards the bottom of the shield. Report this Post to the Staff

-makecents- Pillar of the Community United States 8744 Posts	Posted 03/13/2022 8:23 pm The area to the north on the reverse is usually due to the bust on the obverse, which makes this area strike light on the reverse, you can see this on memorial and wheat cents too, as the die gets tired.
