1995 D Penny Error Question - Cannot Identify If It Is Double Die On Obverse And/Or A Die Break

ecastroc New Member United States 5 Posts	Posted 03/14/2022 6:09 pm Hi everyone, I am trying to figure out if: (1) this is a die break on the eye area, (2) Improper plating, (3) a double die error on the 1995 D cent. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 03/15/2022 1:59 pm Seeing gray is not a good sign for a copper plated zinc coin. The strike may have split the plating, or the coin was altered. But the zinc will start to rot and the coin will waste away. So this error/alteration is not a good thing for the coin.
