Are you asking for a grade assessment, or general observations--or both?

Nice coin! Id gander a MS-64 or 65 straight grade, or if that is light wear instead of weak strike, then AU-58.

The lighter area on the Buffalos left leg leads me to believe the coin saw very light circulation.

So. I'd be at AU58 on this lovely coin.

larger photos would help to see any signs of circulation. AU58 or MS64 without larger photos I'm going with MS64 as I dont see any other signs of it except possibly the front leg. I would expect to see other signs especially the cheek and and back fur
Rest in Peace

Hmm , I love it but I'm going to throw an AU-58++ at it . My only concern is the right obverse rim , Wear or weak strike ?

Larger pics would help, but I'll say MS-64.

Nice appeal :) I'll be at 63/64, but a slight rub on the high points of the braid and cheek only seen in hand wouldn't surprise me and gets an AU58 either. It happens a lot. If its an AU58, I just hope its not priced like a 64.

OP here. It graded MS63 but by one of the other graders, ICG I think.

Also price was good for MS63 but not for AU58. Love

I wouldn't argue it. Sans the small breaks in the luster on the hind leg, I'm not seeing any signs of wear. Luster is a bit subdued. Light, but larger scratches under the bisons belly. Average strike for the year. That's what landed me at MS62/63. Overall nice example, but I wouldn't pay retail, or even low 63 money for this one.

Interesting coin. Thanks for the ICG grade input.

If you decide to try a crossover, or a cracked out submission, please update us on the results.

Thanks!
