I'm at work and just had a monster energy drink so not able to take great pics. I was going through some coins and noticed one of the 1964 I have, the left leaf appears to be much closer to the rim then the other ones I have. Is this due to a slightly off center strike or Die Deterioration or? Weird to me.

Edit, an overlap of the coins just for better comparison.

Home from work now, I think I have to assume it's just dies deterioration making everything look closer. Even if I take away the Die Deterioration though it still looks a little closer to my eyes. It stands out though the denticles seem to be deteriorated as well on that side of the coin. For better reference as to why it stood out here is a couple photos with this one mixed in with another 5. I rearranged them but probably could have done a better job lol. Can you see which one I'm asking about?

I think it is a combination of Die Deterioration and some sort of
doubling on the tip of the leaf that is making it look longer.

Good eyes to the baked eye this one looks weird. I think it's a combination of Die Deterioration and MD, even without the extra metal pushed out it still seems closer to the leaf which would account for both. Here a bad shot but shows the Md.

Think I'll hold onto this one for reference.

To me, if you eliminate the reflective "arc" at the tip of the denticles and between the leaf and the denticles, it doesn't look any nearer or closer. The leaf itself has either a reflective shadow or Die Deterioration also making it look closer to the demticles..

I completely agree with Die Deterioration, it's kinda the only thing that makes sense. And a bit of MD. If you eliminate the MD on the leaf it's still really close to the rim but I assume there is Die Deterioration on the leaf and denticles as well making them seem close together. Even as a Die Deterioration event since it's so focused on the one half of the reverse it makes it interesting to me.

Edit: auto correct likes to change leaf to leader apparently lol.

Good eye either way but I believe you are correct with Die Deterioration
