WOW! ....but...that's an amazing coin, a deeply frosted cameo in a SMS?

Nice looking coin, I just wished I could spend that on a coin.

WOW ! If I paid that much, I'ld have to be able to move into Monticello. After a little thought, that is probably more than my whole collection is worth.

There is one, and only one, PCGS PR69DCAM 1959 Jefferson nickel. It's the oldest Jefferson with that grade. Wonder what that one's worth.

An awesome coin no doubt.

How often does one see MS and DCAM on the same slab?

A beautiful coin indeed, but if I had that kind of money to spend I would rather buy several coins!
Rest in Peace

I must've picked out the wrong 1965 SMS. That's a beautiful coin for a date that I don't think has much cameo or even PL fields compared to the '66 and '67 issues.

I've seen a '65 nickel I'd rather have but
have never seen so much cameo on one.

Could someone tell me what SMS is? It sounds expensive enough for me not to really know, but my curiosity and inexperience have once again gotten the better of me. Thanks in advance.

SMS is short for Special Mint Set and they were issued instead of Proof and Mint Sets from 1965-1967. SMS coins are normally inexpensive except when they masquerade as DCAM proofs like this one.
