Wondering how I can check this? Should I use acetone to see if it wipes off? Or is there a better way? Thank you

That appears to be a strike through--certainly not a worm tube.

Would you recommend acetone to see if it wipes off?

If the feature is incuse (or even raised metal), it won't be coming off. I'd drop it into a 2x2.

Looks like a strike-through to me too. Well done. I might store in a 2x2 without giving it a bath in acetone.

Good eye. Acetone soak won't hurt, but I think you've got the real deal.

Just a quick addition to this thread. Mike Diamond looked at it and he shared doubts that this is struck through. Rather corrosion from metal filament that mst have rested on the coin.
