The scar on Liberty's face adds a little character, maybe? How do you suppose ANACS graded it?

obverse - stronger stars, cap, rims and cheek are signs of a weaker strike VF30 reverse - lettering/shield and denomination are VF35 so you have a weak reverse strike. i'd net it to VF30 due to strike maybe even VF25 nice try but scratches do not add character  they may let that pass though

I would grade it vf details scratched and cleaned but ANACS used to net grade coins on the soapbox holders. The reverse is not looking very natural. Who knows what anacs said.

 likely a VF Details, a very nice obverse that reverse is not cup of tea.

Scratch doesn't concern or bother me. Given this is a dime, that scratch is pretty small and minor. The reverse is more concerning. It's on the fence for a VF Details, cleaned for me. I'll say it straight graded, VF20.

All these VF grades just blow me away. Oh, it's a weak strike. Would you seriously pay even mid-VF money for this with that reverse?

Oh I never said I'd pay VF money for it. Just giving my opinion on a technical grade to the best of my (limited) abilities.
