Hey everyone,

I'd appreciate your thoughts on the raised area above the bottom ridge of the left archway on Monticello. If I'm correct on the doubling, could it be another step since the area in question is above the steps below that archway?

Thank you for looking...sorry for the so-so pics, I'm working with a finicky scope at the moment

Nice looking coin. But even a PR-70 isn't worth getting slabbed:

$22 value, $50 to slab it. Not worth it.

Thank you, and to confirm, it's minor doubling on the archway?

Looks more like the laser treament to frost the die was slightly off. More of a distraction, than a premium for the coin. Probably 3000 examples of this will be found with that die issue.

@Bogie, I say about approx.. how many coins could be like your. I do not look if it is a premium or extra price for, because is not my field. My point it is we can have here around approx. 7500 coins like this. Maybe more, maybe less; God and the time will say. You make me work, because I have to go to see what I have and maybe those past from my old's eyes.

Any ways, I just receive from PCGS one coin same year, same with your in PR MS70.

Make sure to watch the video's to see what the processes are. Helps you to see the processes.

Excellent explanation from COOP on the coin minting in those days. Him always keep the day facts. If I say a DIE for proof 5 to 7500 coins strike we can find in the 2020 Mint Director Report for the congress, and this it is an estimate. If the Mint do not up-graded theirs lines for proof in 2021, (which personal I do not believe), the proof still use the vertical strike, so with what we know feeder fingers and ETC. In Denver and Phil they use Bi-Ball name presses. What mean this: Is we have a vertical feeder band and an horizontal collar band. This technology combinate with horizontal strike, permit them to reach plus and minus 750 coins a minute.

I do not know if this is interesting for someone, but I put. Combinate with all COOP's posts and video links could be a good educational points to understand what could happened on the Mint side.
