I'm evaluating a collection for a friend & will probably make an offer on some or all. I'm second guessing myself on some of these & need more opinions. I have the option of sending coins off to be graded before I make a decision but it would be on my own dime. Would rather not do that without a good idea it would be worth it. Hopefully the pictures are good enough for another opinion.

To me, VG-10. Others will no doubt disagree.

F12, but old tape residue or PVC residue needs conservation
Might end up details/ED.

Several of the coins in the collection need an acetone soak. These are in my possession but I'm not the owner yet. Until I'm the owner I'm holding off on the acetone.
Rest in Peace

F12, don't send to have graded unless you're concerned about authenticity...

I see this coin as VG-10. PCGS values for this coin are $610 in VG-8 and VG-10, or $620 in F-12 and F-15.

I did an ebay completed search for a coin like this. Average is about $550 slabbed, less if it is raw. Problem here is that there are so many better graded ones and plentiful in GSA holders in Uncirculated grades so one like the coin posted would probably be considered a filler for an album.

F12. i'd acetone it prior to slabbing to get that possible tape residue off. other than that its a nice circulated example.

The knock in the obverse field west of the portrait isn't enough to detail it, but is enough to net grade it to VG-10. I agree with the conservation need, and think it will conserve nicely.

F-12 details, environmental damage of some sort. May clean up with a bath in pure acetone.
