This has me quite confused because both sides are evenly weakly struck, rim is present, and quarter is strongly reeded. Appreciate any and all insight provided!
To clarify though, the photos posted are not blurred or unfocused, those are exactly how the coin looks. Both sides seem weakly struck at first and somewhat grainy, however further study reveals not weakly struck, but instead received extra clad layers on both sides, and the grainy texture looks to be a dull DCAM finish that is all frost and no mirror contrast. I just cannot get this camera to capture any of it without excessive glare
@flow, is the weight within mint specs? If so then I suspect that there is nothing wrong with the cladding. Rather, this looks like someone plated or painted the coin and now that has largely worn off.
