@coin, I see a die chip and maybe a die crack accompanied by a long scratch going through the date. For me this coin would be a spender, but with the cost of ownership low, there is little harm in keeping it if you like it.

As mentioned ,your pics are out of focus. But it looks like a deep scratch to me.

scratch is what came first to mind but is definitely ontop of the date and not into I think ill just hang onto it thanks for replies much appreciated.

if the anomaly is raised, it's the result of a die crack, and an unusually thick one at that, nice find

As mentioned, is that line raised or incuse ? And please post full coin photos of obverse and reverse .
