I was going through some older photos and thought I would post this one. 1859 Narrow 9, PCGS and ICCS MS-65 Red. Pop 3/1 at PCGS. I bought this one in the ICCS holder in 2005 and crossed it shortly after.

I think that I'd seen that coin in person over a brew or two.

Probably. I brought several of my best coins to show and tell at the Radisson Admiral TOREX shows circa 2005-2010, before both Canada and US customs made it such a pain to bring them in and take them out.

No wear or disturbance of luster on the high points. Low to middle order MS grade. To my eye, it appears to be a lower pressure strike. It may even be a die pressure adjustment strike, that was good enough to be put into circulation.

I guess Australian grading must be different from North American grading.

Last one for now. 1899, PCGS MS-65 Red, ICCS MS-66 Red, ex. Landon. I really thought this one would go 66 at PCGS, but alas, no.

Every time that you hit "image" and post your photos on here, I feel a little humbler, since I'm not into "bright and shiny" and prefer XF+ and AU's for my Vickies.. Again, great coins from a safety deposit box that has to be getting pretty full. I'm sure there is a lot of space now between #1 & #2 on the PCGS registry sets.
