Hi guys

I have this item and know not what it is, can anyone help me please?

On rim it states "Gewerbe - astellung in Hannover I'm jahre 1837" Trade exhibition in Hanover year 1837. Bronze maybe, 2" diameter 1/8" thick.

I need to find a home for it, any suggestions?

Thank you

@lams, first welcome to CCF. Second, that is an interesting piece that you have and I'm hopeful that someone can help you to find out more about it.

With specific regard to finding a home for it, ebay or your LCS would be good starting points. By way of a reminder, here is the link to the rules on selling stuff here:

Thank you Spence, I was unable to find anything about it online, I guess its a keepsake item for trade visitors at a time before printed mugs or pens were available, lol.

There are plenty of these 19th century private issue medals around, have a box full of them.

Also have trouble finding info on them, as they aren't as catalogued throughly as coins.

Anyone knows any online resource like Numista for medals ?
