First thought is Machine Doubling, but a nice example at that.

I think the 'Liberty" is MD, but the date, MM, and JS initials certainly looks doubled.

I agree with Dear. The MM it's double complete reverse to LYBERTY MD direction, which exclude the MD. In MD everything must be same direction and not opposite. Hope I am right.

The date and JS are clearly doubled to me in these photo's.

DDD. Note all the affected areas are edges towards the rim direction. (even the mintmark) Top and bottom of coin. Also it could be one or both. Depending how it looks on the coin. DDD with affect the fields. Machine Doubling removes the contour of the devices. So it could be one or both, but nothing adds a premium for this coin. Just a normal coin with issues. (Striking or Die issues, or even both)
