Looking for help with a 1982D Washington quarter. On the obverse I was thinking maybe an off center strike? On the reverse top left there is two humps in the wing trying to figure out what causes that. Any info is appreciated.

@drag, first welcome to CCF. Second, with so much wear and damage it can be hard to know exactly what happened. In general, unusual bumps on clad coins come from heating them, such as in a fire. With the reverse centered, the obverse does appear to have been struck by a lightly misaligned die. The rim has been won down a bunch though. I wonder, can you please also post the weight of this coin to the thread? Thx.

If one side is off center and the other isn't, that's a misaligned die and doesn't have an added premium. Both sides must be off center to be an off center coin and generally needs to be at least 15% to start becoming valuable.
The bumps could be exposure to high heat. Excessive heat causes bubbling.

Looks to be a MAD coin to me as well. And as stated heat was probably applied to distort it.

Supposed to be 5.67 grams so it's not that far off. Thanks for the chart.

Circulation could have reduced the coin that much since 1982. The following year they re-created another master hub and that 1983 quarters were normal again: Note the devices locations/devices sizes and the size of the bust was fixed the following year.
