All I see is split copper plating,not an RPM.

Not an RPM, as John1 stated, soon zinc rot will start to set in.
Spend it while you can.

I am genuinely curious. If we don't ask the questions, the learning takes longer. So my question is, the "D" underneath is rotated, as seen by the back of the "D" in the hole of the other, so how does the splitting occure rotated vs. same orientation? Help me understand that part please and thanks

Inside the D looks like plating debris.
